Oakmont Country Club

Oakmont Country Club is a prestigious “top five” country club and the “oldest top-ranked golf course in the U.S.”.  Located in the Pittsburgh suburbs of Plum and Oakmont, the club saddles the scenic Allegheny River Valley.  In addition to being ranked annually in the top five of every course list since the 1960s, it was the first golf course to earn merit as a National Historic Landmark in 1987. It hosted its eighth U.S. Open in 2007, the most of any course.

So when Oakmont Country Club decided to put in a new library, it needed a company whose work and reputation matched the country club it was going into. They chose V-Line.

The library, which also functions as a private dining room, demanded detail.  The new casework would have to match the wood tones and intricate designs that are present throughout the clubhouse, founded in 1903.

Tom Wallace, General Manager of Oakmont Country Club, is pleased with the experience of working with V-Line.

“Our country club is a historic beauty, so our standards are quite high. V-Line's attention to detail in the crown molding and overall design proved that they listened and understood our needs. V-Line created a lasting design in the library, complimenting the clubhouse's integrity. That's exactly what we were looking for.”
